<p>Introducing Freya, the virtual birth partner from The Positive Birth Company. Freya offers a comprehensive range of tools and techniques that will support you throughout your birthing experience.</p>
<p>Freya guides you through every surge using a simple breathing technique and visualisation. In between surges, she assists in relaxation with guided relaxations, positive affirmations, gentle music, and calming visualisations. By using the app, you can easily track the frequency and duration of your surges using the log feature. Freya will also notify you when your labour is established, giving you an indication of when it might be a good time to contact your midwife. With Freya by your side, you will never feel alone during your birthing journey.</p>
 
<h2>TRACK YOUR SURGES</h2>

<p>In the practice of hypnobirthing, we refer to contractions as surges as it more accurately describes the sensation experienced during labour. Freya is the ONLY hypnobirthing-friendly contraction timer available on the app store, specifically designed with hypnobirthing mums in mind; however, anyone can utilize its features.</p>
 
<h2>PREPARE FOR BIRTH</h2>

<p>In addition to supporting you during labour, Freya can also help you prepare for the birth throughout your pregnancy. The more frequently you listen to the guided relaxations and positive affirmations, the more familiar they become and consequently more effective at helping you relax when it comes time for birth. Extensive research has shown that positive affirmations can alter cognitive processes, allowing you to feel less anxious and more confident leading up to birth.</p>

<p>We understand that being relaxed during childbirth encourages the production of oxytocin—a hormone that aids in the efficient functioning of the uterus, resulting in faster and more comfortable labour.</p>
